This is a webpage for the Lund family at Ørland, Norway. Most pages will be in Norwegian.

 

Following the familyreunion of the Lund family in June 2013 we started to plan the next reunion: Summer 2018.We would like to make a familybook to be published for the reunion.This webpage is the beginning of the making of this book as well as a chance for the family to follow our work.

 

Most of the webpages will be in Norwegian. However, we will try to include some of the information in English as well. If you are a decendant we would like to hear from you. Ancestor: Jacob Christoffersen Lund from Selven

 

Jacob Christophersen Lund Selven (1753 - 1839) had his childhood at Selven in the municipality of Agdenes. He had 9 sisters and brothers. He moved to Ørlandet (Brekstad municipality) and became a farmer at Bakken. He has many decendants using the name LUND. The theory is that his grandfather - Ole Einersen Selven (1678 - 1722) - came from a farm named Lund in theViggja/Børsa-area (Skaun municipality today) and that this is the origin of our Lund name. Discussion forum (in Norwegian) about this theory.

 

Jacob first married Synnøve Fremstad 7.juli 1782 and the had the twins Jacob and Olava in 1783. They died at only 17 weeks. Synnøve was buried 24.09.1785, 31 years old, together with her son (whom died at birth). Jacob stayed at Fremstad (Synnøves homeplace) for a period.

 

Jacob was engaged to Hendrikka Arntsdatter Bakken 22. may 1787. Sponsors Peder Flatnes and Augustinus Selven.

Jacob bought the farm at Bakken for the amount of 399 Rd fromassessor Nannestad 30.october 1795. This was Hendrikkas fathers farm. 18.juni 1804 he bought the farm Garten for the amount of 499 Rd.

 

Jacob and Hendrikka had 8 children and each child is the beginning of one of 8 branches as defined in the book Lundslekten:

Kristoffer (b.1789), Arnt (b.1791), Hans Aage (b.1793), Maren (b.1795), Christian Fredrik bf.1798), Humfred (b.1800), Anne Sofie (b.1801) og Jacob Henrik (b.1805).
